Wooptix at Photonics West 2025
Wooptix Presents a Poster on Novel Characterization of Borosilicate Transparent Wafers Using Wavefront Phase Imaging
Wooptix recently presented a poster titled “Novel Characterization of Borosilicate Transparent Wafers Using Wavefront Phase Imaging” at Photonics West 2025. This cutting-edge research demonstrated a new, highly precise technique for characterizing borosilicate transparent wafers—an essential material used in advanced semiconductor and optics applications. Through the application of Wooptix’s proprietary wavefront phase imaging technology, the novel approach provided an unprecedented level of surface analysis, offering a comprehensive method to detect and quantify subtle irregularities that were previously difficult to observe.
Borosilicate wafers are critical in industries ranging from semiconductor manufacturing to optical devices due to their unique properties, such as high thermal resistance and optical transparency. However, their surface quality has traditionally been difficult to assess with the level of precision required for next-generation technologies. Wooptix’s innovative technique leveraged wavefront phase imaging to enhance wafer characterization, ensuring improved quality control and higher manufacturing yields.
“We were thrilled to present our latest findings at Photonics West 2025,” said Laila Quiles Blanco, VP of Business Development at Wooptix. “Our wavefront phase imaging technology represents a significant leap forward in the characterization of transparent wafers, enabling manufacturers to push the boundaries of wafer quality and performance. We greatly appreciated the opportunity to engage with industry leaders at the conference to discuss the full potential of this breakthrough technology.” explained Sebastien Pauliac, VP Product Management at Wooptix.
Wooptix’s poster presentation was available for viewing at the Photonics West conference in San Francisco, where the company also participated in discussions surrounding advanced imaging techniques, semiconductor applications, and optical metrology.
