As a Software Developer, you will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and optimization of the company’s internal tooling, ensuring it meets the needs of various departments. You will work closely with the Tech Leader and other developers to implement new features, fix bugs, and ensure system scalability and security. Your role will be key in making the internal tool a centralized and efficient solution for managing cross-departmental operations.
Role & Responsibilities:
Development and Maintenance
• Develop new features for the in-house internal tool based on departmental requirements.
• Optimize and fix bugs in the existing system to ensure performance and stability.
• Collaborate on integrating the internal tool with other systems across the company, including 3D design systems.
• Document code and functionalities to facilitate maintenance and usability.
Technical Collaboration
• Work closely with the Tech Leader on system design and architecture.
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions to ensure software quality.
• Support the implementation of security measures within the tool.
Support and Consultation
• Provide technical support to tool users, resolving issues and answering queries.
• Collaborate with other departments to understand their needs and propose technical solutions.
Continuous Improvement
• Identify opportunities for optimization and innovation.
• Stay updated with best practices and emerging technologies related to the internal tool.
Required Skills
Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in Angular for front-end development.
• Strong knowledge of TypeScript and JavaScript.
• Experience with Firebase (Firestore, Storage, Hosting, Authentication, etc.).
• Familiarity with Python (widely used in the company for versatility and integration).
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and software architecture.
• Familiarity with Git for version control.
• Understanding of software security principles and best practices.
Bonus Technical Skills (Nice to Have)
• Experience integrating 3D design systems or similar tools.
• Knowledge of UX/UI principles to enhance the internal tool’s user experience.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools.
• Basic understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud, AWS) for future scalability.
Soft Skills:
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Proactive attitude and ability to work independently.
• Technical English (reading, writing, comprehension) for documentation and international collaboration (desirable).
Other Skills:
• Ability to work with data visualization tools (e.g., Chart.js, D3.js).
• Knowledge of database optimization for large-scale systems.
Qualifications:
• Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Development, or a related field (both university and non-university qualifications are valid).
• Experience is a plus but not mandatory—strong portfolios or demonstrable skills will be considered.
• Familiarity with resource planning systems and issue tracking software is desirable.
• Good skills in the Microsoft Office package.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Capability of learning company procedures and adapting to new technologies.
• Fluent in Spanish and English (reading, writing, and speaking). Other languages are a plus.
Location
The position is preferably based in San Cristóbal de La Laguna, Tenerife (Spain) (Wooptix Headquarters). However, it is possible to carry out the role from Madrid (Spain), depending on the candidate’s qualifications and fit.
